WASTE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT (WEEE)
LUMINAIRES
Martech UK Ltd, as a manufacturer of contract branded luminaires for OEMs, is not deemed to be the “Producer” of our products. The Producer of our products is the company that places them on the market under their own company name (i.e. our customers).
With the onus of responsibility regarding the collection and recycling of WEEE being on our customers, Martech UK Ltd will not instigate the WEEE charges or costs necessary for our products.
As part of the WEEE Directive and luminaire standards, another of the Producer’s responsibilities is to ensure that all products and / or their packaging carry all the relevant logos and labelling.
Martech UK Ltd are able to offer this branded labelling as an optional no-cost service.
Please note that it is a legal requirement for a Producer of WEEE to be a member of a
Producer Compliance Scheme (PCS), therefore Martech UK Ltd will only support and supply branded products to OEMs / Producers that are WEEE registered.
LAMPS
Lamps are not the responsibility of Martech UK but are the responsibility of the lamp
manufacturer, as marked on the lamp. Most lamps are returned via the Recolight Scheme.
